HNRY FLWR - hnryflwr.com
Welcome to the Year of the Daytime Moon. A new single every month until the debut album, Visions of the Daytime Moon comes out December 2023.
HNRY FLWR is the secular-spiritual rock alter-ego created by David Van Witt who derives great inspiration from his unique upbringing. Born in Belgium and raised in a meditation community in Iowa, Van Witt then moved around the USA with his single, psychic mother who claims she remembers being born. Now the proselytizing leader of a seven-piece band in New York City, HNRY FLWR uses meditation, drone music, and his pseudo religion, that worships The Infinite Void, to help build a following to match their energized indie rock gospel concerts.
Since releasing their debut EP in 2017, the band has amassed over 1M streams and has remained highly active. HNRY FLWR and his band are an iconic NYC entity, boasting over 30 musicians on their roster throughout their six-year album process. Musicians on Visions of the Daytime Moon include album co-producer Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Dangermouse, Sharon Van Etten), guitarist Jared Samuel (!!!, The Shins, Aldous Harding), percussionist Rosie Slater (Darlene Love, Delicate Steve), guitarist Connor Grant (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), and saxophonist/flutist Walter Fancourt (Yeasayer, Super Yamba Band).
Praise be The Void.
