Description

Original tilt-back legs, grill, faceplate, cabinet, reverb tank, and tolex. Very good condition after 50 years of tours, club gigs, big stages, and studio sessions. One owner since the 90s. Before that, this Super was a 70s/80s touring amp with Molly Hatchet and Marshall Tucker.

Amp has seen regular service from Pat Kauffman, who recently replaced the filter caps with Spragues, added a "doghouse" cover, a new power cord for safety, and new JJ output tubes. Mercury Transformers and a tube rectifier added 5 years ago to ensure another 50 years of reliability and tone. Amp is currently loaded with 4 vintage-voiced, non-original 10" speakers - two ceramics (Jensen & Eminence) and two AlNiCo's (a brand new Weber and an Eminence Legend). Two original Fender AlNiCos (needs recone) included. SRs are considered the best club amp - sweet cleans, magical chime, warm bass, swampy tube tremolo and reverb, and singing mids heard on hundreds of recordings (Television, F. King, Shins, D. Trucks, Carol Kaye, J. Marr, East Bay Ray, Sleater-Kinney, W. Montgomery, Modest Mouse, SRV, Page ...)
